돌이킬 수 없는 (Irreversible) - 가인 (Ga In)

Irreversible - Ga In

A member of a group called Brown Eyed Girls, Ga In, has recently released her first solo album called "Step 2/4." The album is very unique because all the songs are tango. The title song, Irreversible, has strong beats of tango, and is about a girl being so sad after her lover left her.

I would like to recommend the title song of this album, Irreversible, as it's a very emotional song with great lyrics, beats, and the voice color Ga In has blends perfectly. It's performance is also very enjoyable to watch because her dance moves are very cool and powerful.

Her music video also made a big hit on medias as it is 11 minutes long and has a great story line.

Superstar K Season 2

Recently, there was a TV show in Korea called Superstar K which is very similar to American Idols (A famous TV Show in U.S), was broadcasted and resulted out a huge scandal to the Entertainment state of Korea. Superstar K is a survival program where people from all over Korea who want to be singers compete for the title of superstar. As Superstar K Season 1 earned a lot of attention, people held much higher expectations on season 2 and the judges for the season were : SeungChul Lee, JungHwa Um, JongShin Yoon.

After weeks and months of competition, the top 11 singers out of 1,350,000 people who singed up were chosen. These people were, of course, very talented, but had to go through harsh criticisms from the three judges. After all the competitive performances, HuGak  won the first place, followed by John Park as second place.

Top 11
John Park was especially famous even before reaching Top 11 because he was one of the singers who competed in "American Idol."

John Park
Hu Gak, the winner of Superstar K season 2 , is a great singer, and every time I watched his performances, I had goosebumps all over my body. This video will explain everything.

All media and fans are anticipated about HuGak's new albums and performances he's going to give us very soon. Now the curtains of "Super Star K" is closed, but the tension, thrill, songs, performances, singers, and, of course, the goosebumps would be remembered forever.

2AM vs SNSD

Last week, two of the most popular idol groups in Korea presented new albums on the same day. These groups are 2AM and Girl's Generation (So Nuyh Si Dae), and people are super excited to hear about these groups' comeback and are curious who will win the first place of online charts and the music programs on TV.

2AM <Saint o'clock>

Girls' Generation <Hoot>

These two albums are very different from one another. Most importantly, since 2AM is a ballad group and Girls Generation (SNSD) is a dance group, 2AM more likely focused on their songs and how they bring out perfect live shows in concerts, and Girls' Generation focused more on dance performances and their appearance. Just like how K-Pop fans expected, these two groups both made  great hits on media. 2AM's songs are heard everywhere and became the most popular ringtone of the following week. In the other hand, Girls' Generations' dance moves and their performances on stage are currently being an hot trend among teenagers and young adults, resulting out with numerous parodies from all over the world.

But the most important factor in albums are the songs in them. I personally like both of their title songs, and they both hold high quality. 2AM's songs are very touching and attractive but they failed to try different kinds of music styles. In other words, their songs all sounded similar to one another, and I sometimes had trouble identifying which one is which. Girls' Generation only presented 5 songs in their new mini album, but  I have to say they are fresh and have more variety from powerful to soft and from girly to tough.

As a fan of both groups, 2AM and Girls' Generation, I can't wait to see more of their performances on media.
